Roslyn has 16 years public affairs and communications management experience spanning the corporate, government and consultancy sectors in Australia and Asia. She specializes in providing strategic public affairs, issues management and communications counsel, and in developing public affairs strategies and campaigns for Andromeda Partners’ clients.During her career in corporate communications she has advised and assisted a range of leading companies including Westpac, ANZ, Perpetual Funds Management, Perpetual Trustees, Bravura Solutions, NZI Insurance, AMEV Life, Kodak, Colgate-Palmolive, CIG, and Compaq, and was head of corporate communications at CIC and Occidental.
Roslyn has also worked for the federal government in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Canberra and later in Hong Kong in a senior public affairs role. As Director of Public Affairs at the Australian Consulate General in Hong Kong she led a public affairs team that successfully handled a diverse and challenging range of issues, including mounting an effective public affairs and media campaign response to the One Nation controversy in Asia. She also handled the public affairs aspects of Australia’s involvement in the Hong Kong handover to China, the World Bank meeting and the World Economic Forum.
She was closely involved in visits by the former Minister for Foreign Affairs, Alexander Downer, the Treasurer, Peter Costello, and other senior government figures, working with key ministerial staff and briefing the Ministers ahead of their public appearances and media interviews.
In her role as media spokesman at the Consulate Roslyn had regular dealings with the Australian media based in Hong Kong (as well as the 200 Australian media who covered the handover), the local English and Chinese language media, and the regional and international media, and was also engaged in the dialogue with key Australian organisations such as the Australian Chamber of Commerce, and major Australian companies operating in Asia.
Since 2005 she has been a member of the International Tour Fund committee of the Australian Youth Orchestra, involved in fundraising and attracting individual and corporate philanthropy for the AYO.
Roslyn has a Master’s degree (with Merit) in political science and international relations from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts degree (double major in political science, Russian and Italian) from the Australian National University.
